Hello everyone.
Its been a fun packed weekend around work.
Friday we all went to the father christmas light switch on - I so wanted to go! But it dragged on for a couple of hours, I had walking stick in one hand and grapping onto the barrier to help take the weight off my knee/feet. As soon as the lights went on, we went.ThumpUp

Yesterday after work we nipped into Bath to see the christmas market with the cute sheds as stalls, didn't make it as it was heaving. We hit the disney shop where my daughter spent her birthday pennies on rapunzel doll and paper & pens.
Then she took her dad downstairs to monsoon to spend more pennies! A grumble coming on, why do people knock stick holding people and push......aaahhhhhRollEyes perhaps I was slowing them down to hit the shops!

Today we have a pizza party later, I've done goodie bags like small parcels with brown paper with mini colour pad mini felt tip pens, sweets and stickers! 14 kids are going to be making pizzas......NO mess for me to clear up!!! They make their pizzas and the pizza place cooks them up, they get drinks (squash) and a choc pudding.BigGrin LOL

My hubby is excited about pizza making, not sure if they have spare dough for him to play!LOL
I want to cram so much in before my op......and give lovely memories to my daughter!
But the ra pain doesn't have a weekend off thoTongue very naughty thing.Razz

Ooohhh, one child is going, wants to play with the dough and make a mess, but doesn't do pizza (I think the parents don't like their princess eating pizza, not the child))!!!!!!!RollEyes

Enjoy your day

Hi Jane,
Sounds like you and your little one are having a great time, Pitza party sounds such fun!
One of our little ones has been going to cookery club, exciting waiting to see what he brings home next, chocolate fridge cake, halloween cakes, scones etc etc. Seem to be loads of them going, how they cope with it all I can't imagine. One little helper at a time is enough for me!! BigGrin
Christmas seems to have really taken off this weekend.
Went with my sister to the Frost Fair at Attingham Park, NT, on Friday. Yes, busy , busy, there too, but lots of lovelly craft stalls. Bought some delightful coasters for my girls made from the nut of the bottlebrush tree from W. Australia. Very tiring but fun.
Then yesterday went to the local playgroup Christmas fair. Heaven for the little ones spending pennies on the stalls, and visiting Santa.
Is your little girl involved in a Christmas school production? . Four different ones to go to this year, I go to the afternoon dress rehearsals, much quieter. First one is on Wednesday. Smile
Enjoy, Zena LOL

Jane.

Smile Hi Zena

Sounds like you have been busy as well!
Haven't been to any xmas craft fayres yet, just remembered there is a school one coming up next week. My daughter goes to cookery class in a school club. Last week was short bread, she has done a very sweet smoothy drinkScared bit too sweet! A few weeks ago I drove home with warm cheese scones in the car (don't like the smell)Sad I'm proud and happy what she makes and brings a sheet home for her "I've made" folder with cooking instructions!

Pizza party went really well, 13 children all happy, excited to be playing with dough and choosing their toppings! I bought foam people shapes (like gingerbread) and stickers & sticky google eyes for the children to decorate whilst waiting for their pizza to cook (from hobbycraft). Sad that one of the children slipped and fell over on the floorSad I called her mummy......so she was happy when her mummy arrived.

Asked my hubby when the christmas tree & decs are going up....scrooge says after 12th Dec I said next weekend!! Its something I let them do together and watch the interaction and thought process!!!!LOL

Glad to be sat down relaxing after this weekend.
Got to drag my hubby out some time soon for xmas shopping, another excuse to visit the disney shop!Love

Take care
Jane

THat sounds really good fun Jane. We put the decs up, but the tree is going to wait till my son gets back from uni (17th Dec!). I stood and had a wee glass of port while my eldest daughter shinned up the ladder to hang the outdoor lights - her boyfriend held the ladder (what a gentleman!) - I was so naughty but it was lovely! The traditions stay the same but they evolve as the kids get bigger.

Lovely online advent calendar from Jackie Lawson
